Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working both nationally and internationally to make cities greener and improve lives.

Using volunteers, Trees for Cities revitalise green or forgotten spaces, help create healthier and more beautiful city environments, and even help children get into growing their own vegetables by creating “edible playgrounds” in schools.

Trees for Cities was started in 1993. Since then they have planted over 800,000 trees in the UK and Internationally in countries such as Kenya and Peru.

Trees for Cities work in urban spaces, helping to plant community orchards, revitalising neglected spaces and engaging children and the local community. Their impact has been measurable in improving the wellbeing of the communities they have worked in, not to mention the positive environmental impact on local urban wildlife.

Trees for Cities wants to plant 1 million trees by 2020 an amazing goal that you can help with.
