Parkinson’s UK is the UK’s foremost Parkinson’s disease charity, focused on supporting people with Parkinson’s and the families, whilst also investing in the search for an ultimate cure for Parkinson’s.

The charity was founded by Mari Jenkins in 1969. She had been caring for her sister who had Parkinson’s for some time, and was frustrated by the lack of generally available information about Parkinson’s for the lay person, and so she took matters into her own hands and formed the Parkinson’s Disease Society, now Parkinson’s UK.
Since that time, Parkinson’s UK have funded groundbreaking research into Parkinson’s disease, whilst supporting thousands of people with Parkinson’s in the UK
