Macmillan Cancer Support was founded bu Douglas Macmillan in 1911 after his father died from Cancer.
His aim was to provide advice and support for all people with cancer, homes for patients at little or no cost, and a team of volunteer nurses to attend patients in their own homes.
Today much of his legacy lives on, with the charities unwavering commitment to continually improve people’s experiences with cancer.
